Psalm 139:1-4 O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. 2. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. 3. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. 4. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. A police detective tracks your every move. They take pictures, know where you go, trying to find out why you committed a crime, or if you did.
BUT GOD KNOWS YOUR INNER YOU, YOUR OUTER YOU. HE KNOW WHAT YOU THINK, EVEN BEFORE YOU EVEN THINK IT. HE KNOWS WHAT MAKES YOU TICK. WHAT A GOD!!!! YOU CANNOT HIDE FROM GOD! THERE IS NO WHERE TO GO TO HIDE FROM HIM, FOR HE IS THERE. HE IS EVERYWHERE! GOD KNOWS WHAT WE WILL SAY OR DO NEXT. HE KNOWS YOUR HEART, YOUR FEARS, YOUR THOUGHTS, MOTIVES, DREAMS, AND FRUSTRATIONS. HE KNOW YOUR PAST, YOUR PRESENT AND YOUR FUTURE. HE UNDERSTANDS YOU. HE NOTICES WHAT’S GOING ON AROUND YOU, TO YOU AND INSIDE YOU. YOU CAN NOT FOOL GOD, HE KNOWS YOU! HE KNOWS, BUT HE STILL LOVES YOU!
A wise father would place his hands on his children and speak words into their lives about who they are and will be, what their place in the family means, and what their future will be. IN THE SAME WAY OUR HEAVENLY FATHER, WHO KNOWS YOU, BESTOWS BLESSINGS ON YOU, OUT OF LOVE, THAT MARKS YOUR PLACE IN HIS FAMILY AND WHAT YOUR FUTURE IS ALL ABOUT. IN HIS FAMILY YOU ARE NEEDED AND LOVED!
David said in verse 6 and 7…Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. 7. Whither shall I go from thy spirit: or whither shall I flee from thy presence? WE CAN’T HIDE FROM GOD. DAVID SAID, ” HIS KNOWLEDGE IS TOO OVERWHELMING, HE JUST COULD NOT FATHOM IT.”
David’s thought of God is the same as ours — DAVID THOUGHT, “How can I escape? Where can I hide? If He knows all that, He know I’m a hypocrite, He’s heard my lies, He saw what you did and when you did it.”
David say in verses 7-12, “Where can I go to escape Your Spirit? Where can I flee from God.” “Even there shall Thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
“GOD KNOWS YOU. HE PURSUES YOU. HE MADE YOU WITH A PURPOSE, AND WANTS YOU TO LIVE OUT THAT PURPOSE EACH DAY. CAN YOU HEAR HIS STILL SMALL VOICE? GOD IS SAYING, “I AM GLAD YOU ARE MY CHILD. TAKE MY HAND. LET’S RUN THIS RACE TOGETHER! I LOVE YOU!”
