DEVICES SATAN USES AGAINST US!

Devices of the enemy (Satan) | We know who you really are, better cover up before someone finds out ...

II Corinthians 2:10-11 To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to who I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; 11. LEST SATAN SHOULD GET AN ADVANTAGE OF US: FOR WE ARE NOT IGNORANT OF HIS DEVICES.

DEVICES SATAN USES AGAINST US:

DISAPPOINTMENT….We have all been disappointed by not getting what we wanted at times. Rom. 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

DISCOURAGEMENT….Disappointment leads to discouragement. Deu. 1:21,28 Fear not, neither be discouraged…our brethren have discouraged our heart.

DESPAIR….Unless checked, despair can destroy your Christian life. II Cor. 4:8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair.

DOUBT….Satan attacked Eve in the Garden of Eden with doubt, by getting her to doubt God’s Word. Gen. 3:1….I Tim. 2:8 I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

DISBELIEF….Heb. 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

DISTRACTION….One can be side-tracted from God’s perfect will for us. Matt. 14:30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

DOUBLEMINDEDNESS….A double minded man in Greek means “double souled”. James 1:8 and 4:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw night to you. Cleanse your hand, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

DISHONESTY….We can be dishonest by a) lying or cheating, b) holding back certain facts, or c) being less than we should be as pastors, christians, parents or workers which is to cheat our people and children. II Cor. 4:2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the Word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. Dishonesty comes by fear or by greed.

DECEIT….II Thess 2:8-12 With all deceivableness of unrighteousness. II Cor. 2:17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the Word of God. Jer. 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked: who can know it?

DULLNESS….Dullness means sleepiness to the things of God. Sound teaching will bring them to their senses. Hebrews says they were dull, and they could not be used of God. Heb. 5:12-14 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again, which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and strong meat.

DEADNESS….Deadness means unchecked dullness. Rev. 3:1 I know thy works, that thou has a name that thou livest, and are dead.

DEFAME….How often are Christians guilty of criticising or belittling other believers for what they stand for. Psalms 105:5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbor, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.

DISCORD….How effectively satan uses this in the church. Prov. 6:16-19 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, an heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

DEFILEMENT….Defilement with the things of the world. God insists upon clean vessels. A believer who defiles himself with the things of this world can never be fully used by God. I Cor. 3:16,17 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple are ye.

DISCONTENT….One of satan’s favorite lies is to tell people that things will be better if they go elsewhere. For example, if they: a) change marriage partners, b) change churches. God say, Heb. 13:5 Be content with such things as ye have: for he had said, I will never leave thee, no forsake thee. I Tim. 6:8 Having food and raiment let us be there content. Phil. 4:11 I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

DELAY.…Delay is used to, a) postpone salvation; and b) postpone service to God. Psalm 119:60 I made haste and delayed not to keep thy commandments.

Devices of the enemy (Satan) | be alert and of sober mind your enemy the devil prowls around like a ...

DISOBEDIENCE.…I Sam. 15:22,23 And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord: Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the Word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king. Rom. 6:14-18 For sin shall not have dominion over you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. BE SOBER, BE VIGILANT. DON’T BE DESTROYED BY SATAN’S DEVICES.

BE YE THEREFORE READY, FOR IN SUCH AN HOUR AS YE THINK NOT THE SON OF MAN COMETH!

God bless you and your day!

Love and prayers to all!
